چکیده

Hierarchical two-dimensional (2D) lamellar zeolites represent a young emerging field and novel expression of the zeolite frameworks. Accompanied with synthesis catalytic performance investigation, assessment on local environment behavior acid sites in 2D are needed. Here, we described Lewis evaluated activities external (i.e. surface mesopores) titanium silicalite-1 (TS-1) zeolites. For comparison purpose, four TS-1 zeolites, including 3D TS-1, multilamellar without pillarization by silica silica/titania, respectively, were prepared. The Ti-sites, coordination status Ti-atom, speciation hydroxyl (-OH) group that hints degree confinement, site strength accessibility, was collectively assessed spectroscopic organic base titration measurements. Kinetic studies cyclooctene (C8H14) epoxidation hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) discerned activity Ti-sites decreased increasing mesoporosity due to decrease confinement.

Highly selective Lewis acid sites in desilicated MFI zeolites for dihydroxyacetone isomerization to lactic acid.

Desilication of commercial MFI-type (ZSM-5) zeolites in solutions of alkali metal hydroxides is demonstrated to generate highly selective heterogeneous catalysts for the aqueous-phase isomerization of biobased dihydroxyacetone (DHA) to lactic acid (LA). The best hierarchical ZSM-5 sample attains a LA selectivity exceeding 90 %, which is comparable to that of the state-of-the-art catalyst (i.e.,...

Catalytic Behavior of Brønsted Acid Sites in MWW and MFI Zeolites with Dual Meso- and Microporosity

The catalytic behavior of Brønsted acid sites in three acidic zeolite materials (one MWW and two MFI zeolites) containing dual meso-/microporosity was studied using ethanol dehydration and monomolecular conversion of propane and isobutane as probe reactions. The meso-/microporous MWW zeolite, MCM-36 or pillared MWW, consists of a zeolitic layer structure, with independent microporosity and meso...

Application of silica vanadic acid as a dual Lewis and Bronsted acid catalytic ability in Dakin West reaction

Silica Vanadic Acid, SVA, (oxo-vanadium has been supported on silica) as a dual Lewis and Bronsted acid ability was prepared and efficiently catalyzed one-pot multi-component condensation of enolizable ketones or alkyl acetoacetates with aromatic aldehydes, acetonitrile and acetyl chloride. The described reaction was produced β-acetamido ketone or ester derivatives in high to excellent yields i...

Catalytic Isomerization of Dihydroxyacetone to Lactic Acid and Alkyl Lactates over Hierarchical Zeolites Containing Tin

Hierarchical zeolites containing tin were obtained, characterized and used in a reaction of catalytic isomerization of dihydroxyacetone (DHA) to lactic acid and alkyl lactates. These catalysts are characterized by preserved crystallinity and primary microporosity with the simultaneous existence of secondary porosity regarding mesopores, which facilitates access of large molecules of reagents to...

Theoretical Study of the Molecular Complexes between Pyridyne and Acid Sites of Zeolites

The main interaction between pyridine and zeolites leads to form a hydrogen bond between the N atom of pyridine and OH groups of zeolites. The present work reports a theoretical study about the structural, vibrational and topological properties of the charge distribution of the molecular complexes between pyridine and a series of acids sites of zeolites. The calculated structural parameters...
